PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on February 9, 2021 for an amount not to exceed $13,156,361.97. Change Order No. 1 to extend the contract term has been submitted for the November 9, 2021 BOC meeting agenda (Agenda Item 2021-3212). This contract consists of patching, milling and resurfacing County roads. The price of liquid asphalt used to produce paving material increased significantly and the contractor is requesting an increase in their price per ton. This request is to add funds to the current contract for an amount not to exceed $470,561.59.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 to increase the contract amount with:
Pittman Construction Company, 1487 Farmer Road, Conyers, GA 30012
Amount Not To Exceed: $470,561.59
And authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
