Consists of the installation of 30-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) watermain and replacement of existing 6-inch distribution mains with 8-inch DIP inside the right-of-way and under existing pavement. PURPOSE:
Much of the piping where the project takes place have reached their shelf life and some have already begun to break down. The watermain will be installed mostly through residential area. The current 30-inch watermain along with several of the 6-inch distribution mains will be substituted and filled with non-shrink grout. All landscaping and pavement distressed during the project will be replaced but not altered. This project will restore proper water service to our residential customers and limit maintenance issues or service interruptions. Two (2) bids were received.
