PURPOSE:
These pipelines are under performing and have exceeded their life span or have had multiple failures and service interruptions in commercial and residential areas. The existing 30" steel watermain and some of the 8-inch distribution mains will be placed and filled with non-shrink grout. Installation and replacement of 8,930 linear feet of 30-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) inside of the right-of-way will run parallel to the 30-inch main with interconnections at specific locations to avoid interruptions in service and maintain fire protection. This project will assure reliable water services, limit maintenance issues, and service interruptions to our residential and commercial customers. Two (2) bids were received.
